STEM in the Community
Numerous community-based organizations support STEM education both within and outside of our schools. These programs serve as key mechanisms for engaging young people in STEM learning activities. Some organizations leverage long-standing approaches while others use more general methodologies. This provides a virtual menu of programs tailored to individual need and interest level. Community-based organizations often engage under-served and underrepresented populations and foster broader participation in STEM education and STEM careers.
