STEM for Educators

Professional development is necessary for honing the knowledge and skills of both formal P-12 educators and non-formal educators. Spokane STEM is specifically supportive of professional development activities that lead to increased competency of educators in STEM disciplines and in activities that lead to increased effective project-based learning stressing acquisition of 21st Century Skills like inquiry, problem-solving, critical thought, analysis, teamwork, and effective communication. Additionally, Spokane STEM supports increased engagement among educators leading to idea sharing and increased implementation of best practices in STEM education.
